DO YOU ACCEPT THE #ICEBUCKETCHALLENGE?

The #IceBucketChallenge is taking social media by storm to create awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

This challenge began on July 29th, when former Boston College baseball player Pete Frates challenged three of his friends to throw a bucket of ice on themselves within 24 hours and donate $100 to any organization that advances ALS research.

Singers, sport stars, politicians and all sorts of celebrities have united with the cause, leaving us with a trail of entertaining videos.

Singer Ricky Martin accepted the challenge nominating in turn Eva Longoria, Juanes, Spanish singer Pablo Alboran and Kylie Minogue.

Cristiano Ronaldo in his undies is unforgetable; can someone get him a pair of TARIFAs?

Bill Gates, nominated by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, took an intellectual spin in his video.

Charlie Sheen was a bit more original. The eccentric artist switched a bucket of cold ice water for a bucket with $10.000 in cash, to donate towards ALS research.

For us at TARIFA, ALS is a special cause, as a good friend of ours, Avi Kremer, was diagnosed with ALS almost 10 years ago. Here you have Avi in action:

Obviously we have also decided to take on the challenge:

So, will you take on the challenge? Whether you actively participate or not, donate towards reserach. Avi’s own foundation, Prize 4 Life, awards its funds to those researchers who have made the most progress towards finding a cure. Participate with an ice bucket and donating!
